Workshop Terms & Participation Agreement – Paris Workshop 2026
These Workshop Terms should be read alongside the Paris Workshop 2026 Payment Terms.
A binding agreement with Big Day Workshops is formed once payment for the Paris Workshop 2026 has been successfully completed.
1. Workshop Overview
The Paris Workshop 2026 is organised by Big Day Workshops and will take place in Paris, France on 4 August 2026.
The workshop is designed as an educational and creative experience for photographers, videographers, and content creators.
2. Participation
By attending the workshop, you agree to behave in a respectful and professional manner toward:

other attendees
-
models
-
suppliers
-
venues
-
members of the public
-
the Big Day Workshops team
Big Day Workshops reserves the right to refuse or remove participation prior to or during the workshop where an attendee behaves in a manner considered unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, inappropriate, disruptive, or likely to negatively impact the experience, safety, suppliers, venues, or other attendees connected to the workshop.
Removal from the workshop does not create any right to refund or compensation.
Any decision to refuse or remove participation will be based on conduct, safety, breach of terms, or operational necessity, and will not be based on any protected characteristic.
3. Workshop Changes
Big Day Workshops reserves the right to make reasonable changes where necessary, including at short notice or during the workshop itself, including but not limited to:

locations
-
timings
-
routes
-
models
-
styling
-
suppliers
-
vehicles
-
shooting plans
-
workshop structure
Changes may occur due to weather, venue restrictions, supplier availability, public access limitations, safety considerations, transport disruption, or operational requirements.
Such changes do not create a right to refund or compensation.
4. Organiser Cancellation
Big Day Workshops is fully committed to delivering the Paris Workshop 2026 as planned and organiser cancellation is considered a last resort situation that we never anticipate or aim for.
However, Big Day Workshops reserves the right to cancel a booking or the workshop itself where reasonably necessary due to operational, scheduling, venue, supplier, safety, travel, or event management requirements outside reasonable control.
If Big Day Workshops cancels the workshop, payments received for the workshop itself will be refunded in full.
Big Day Workshops shall not be liable for any additional costs or losses including, but not limited to:

flights
-
accommodation
-
transport
-
insurance
-
visas
-
exchange rate losses
-
personal expenses
5. Travel & Accommodation
Attendees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own:

travel
-
accommodation
-
insurance
-
visas
-
passports
-
transport
-
meals
-
personal expenses
Attendees are responsible for ensuring they hold the correct travel documentation and insurance required for international travel.
Big Day Workshops strongly recommends that attendees obtain appropriate travel and event insurance covering cancellation, travel disruption, illness, and personal equipment.
6. Physical Requirements
The workshop involves walking between locations across Paris, carrying equipment, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Attendees are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate comfortably and safely.
7. Liability
Attendance at the workshop is at your own risk.
Big Day Workshops is not responsible for:

personal injury
-
loss or damage to equipment
-
theft
-
travel disruption
-
weather conditions
-
third-party services
-
venue restrictions
-
public interference
-
circumstances outside reasonable control
Attendees are responsible for any loss, damage, or costs caused by their actions to venues, props, styling items, dresses, equipment, vehicles, or third-party property during the workshop.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Big Day Workshops arising from the workshop shall not exceed the total amount paid by the attendee for the workshop.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
8. Force Majeure
Big Day Workshops shall not be responsible for failure or delay in performing workshop obligations where caused by events outside reasonable control including, but not limited to:

natural disasters

government restrictions
-
strikes
-
civil unrest
-
transport disruption
-
supplier failure
-
pandemics
-
extreme weather
-
venue closures
-
force majeure events
9. Photography & Content Usage
Attendees may use photographs and video created during the workshop within their personal portfolio, website, blog, and social media channels.
Big Day Workshops may capture behind-the-scenes photographs and video during the workshop for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.
By attending the workshop, you consent to incidental inclusion in such content unless agreed otherwise in writing prior to the event.
Attendees may not use workshop content, behind-the-scenes material, teaching content, or event imagery to market or operate competing workshops, mentoring programmes, or educational events without written permission from Big Day Workshops.
10. Intellectual Property
Workshop materials, educational content, teaching methods, branding, and documentation provided by Big Day Workshops remain the intellectual property of Big Day Workshops unless otherwise stated.
Materials may not be copied, resold, redistributed, or commercially reproduced without written permission.
11. Agreement
By completing payment for the Paris Workshop 2026, you confirm that:

you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms

you agree to follow organiser instructions throughout the workshop

you understand the workshop involves public locations and live shooting environments
-
you accept the operational nature of an international workshop experience
