Whether you're building your first portfolio or refining an established brand, our workshops are designed to give you time, access and creative freedom.
What kind of content will I create?
Each workshop is different, but you can expect a mix of editorial details, couple portraits, ceremony styling, reception styling and carefully planned scenes designed for modern wedding portfolios.

How are the days structured?
Each workshop follows a planned itinerary designed to maximise shooting opportunities while keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable.
Timings, locations and logistics are shared before the event.
Is there teaching or formal direction?
Our focus is creating an environment where you can build your portfolio.
While there are no classroom style teaching sessions, guidance and support are available throughout the workshop where needed.
How many people attend?
Attendance numbers vary by workshop.
We keep group sizes intentionally small and carefully manage access to scenes to help avoid overcrowding and maximise shooting opportunities.
Booking & Payments
How do I book?
Simply choose your preferred payment option and complete checkout online.
Once payment has been successfully completed, your place is secured and you will receive a confirmation email with further information.
Can I pay in instalments?
Some workshops offer payment plans.
Available payment options will be displayed on the individual workshop page and at checkout.
Are payments refundable?
Payment and refund policies vary by workshop.

What happens if I need to cancel?
Workshops are fixed date events with limited places.

We strongly recommend appropriate travel and event insurance.
Can I transfer my place to someone else?
In many cases, yes.
Any transfer must be approved by Big Day Workshops and the replacement attendee must agree to the same workshop terms before participation is confirmed.
Travel & Accommodation
Are flights or hotels included?
No.
Flights and accommodation are not included unless specifically stated on the workshop page.
Is transport provided?
Some workshops include transport between locations during scheduled workshop activities.

Is there a recommended hotel?
For some workshops, yes.
Recommended accommodation options may be provided, but attendees are free to stay wherever they choose.
Do I need insurance or travel documents?
If attending a workshop abroad, you are responsible for arranging any required passports, visas, travel documents and insurance.
We strongly recommend appropriate travel, cancellation and equipment insurance.
Is the workshop guaranteed to go ahead?
Some workshops are subject to a minimum number of attendees being reached.

If a workshop is cancelled by Big Day Workshops, any workshop payments received will be handled in accordance with the applicable Payment Terms.

Workshop hours vary depending on the destination, season and itinerary.

What happens if the weather is bad?
We will always adapt where possible.
However, weather conditions are outside our control and may require changes to locations, timings or planned scenes.
Is food included?
Food and drink inclusions vary between workshops.

Content created during our workshops may be used for your portfolio, website, social media, marketing, advertising, blog features, submissions and business promotion.
Do I need to tag Big Day Workshops?
We always appreciate being tagged when you share your work and regularly reshare attendee content.
Can I submit work to magazines, blogs or awards?
Yes.
Please ensure any supplier credit requirements are respected and always check the publication's own submission guidelines.
Do I need to credit suppliers?
Supplier credit is always appreciated when featuring recognisable elements such as florals, gowns, stationery or styling.

Harassment, inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, unsafe conduct or disruption may result in removal from the workshop.
What if I have accessibility requirements?
Please let us know before booking or as early as possible.
We will always try to accommodate reasonable requirements, although some venues and locations may have physical limitations.
Is insurance required?
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend that all attendees hold suitable travel, cancellation and equipment insurance appropriate for the workshop they are attending.
